After recieving back the laptop from the repair center I see that acer has devided my SSD in 2 partitions(120GB and 360GB). The windows is installed on the 120GB one. I tried merging them from disk management and using 3rd party programs but doesn't work. Do you know any way how the partitions can be merged?

Thank you

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

if you did the factory reset from Alt+F10, i suspected that.

create the USB flash recovery media and completly wipe the SSD from command prompt using diskpart

press Shift+F10 at language/keyboard screen options, to enter Command prompt.

    once in command prompt type
    diskpart
    then on diskpart type
    list disk
take note of the correct disk ID to erase
    type
    select disk x
(x is the ID of your HDD to erase)
    type
    clean all

    (be patient until it finish)
    type

    exit

    proceed to windows installation

have you set the partition (the non OS partition) to merge as unallocated?

When I try to do something it says the format of the extend is less than minimum so I can't even allocate the partition.

at this point, create a bootable windows 10 installation media, wipe the SSD and re-install or try other 3rd parties tool.

I did a factory reset but didn't help. Then I saw the C drive where the windows is installed is set to dynamic and I tried to set it to basic from disk management or and using 3rd parties but doesn't work. Is there any way I can sett it to basic?

Cloned SSD to HDD and it worked, but I can't boot from the HDD even from F12 as it doesn't show it as an option. Can't even open the back cover and remove the SSD as Acer has put a void sticker there.

If I create a partition of my HDD and make it a recovery drive, will I be able to reinstall the windows from it, as it doesn't allow me to boot from my HDD but maybe it will let me when the SSD is erased?

    Thank you for your help
