I have had this machine for one year, and had no reason or equipment to try the USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 port before, but just brought home a USB-C monitor adapter, plugged it in and nothing - ZERO. Tried same equipment on my Surface Pro 4 with a MiniDP adapter and it's fine. The monitor doesn't  show any sign of life when plugged into the Acer, though. So I Iooked in Windows Device Manager and there was no USB-C or Thunderbolt Controller listed anywhere. Tried running the Thunderbolt update tool downloaded from Acer a number of times.  When I run it, I get this message:

Next, I found JasonO's post in this thread, which helped me at least get the Thunderbolt software and controller visible:  Find Thunderbolt

But still no recognition of the device at all. Thunderbolt just sees Port 1 with nothing connected. Anybody have any idea how this could be, and if there is a fix?
