Acer v3 371 Battery is crazy

Something very strange it's happening with my hardware.
First: The battery won't charge (the battery led it was totally off) I follow the instructions here to reset the battery and it's finally working. orange led on and this shows my battery is recognize and charging! But inside my system the percentage show ( 0 ) after I 1 hour my led is blue showing my battery is charged! I can take it out the power cable and the battery works just fine for more than 1 hour. But in my system ( I used Windows and Linux) show 0 battery charged. I thought maybe is my bios! So yesterday it took one day trying to figure it out how do I update my bios without a battery but I finally did!,???????????? New bios and the same problem!!???????????????? What is the next step?

You could try calibrating the battery and see if it helps, if not it's time for a new battery.

I can't calibrate my battery when the system think my battery is to low! If I try to start without a power cable I will get the battery led blinking and that it. But if I plug it in the charger, press power on, then take out the power cable it works normal.????????????????

Hi,

Take it to a repair shop and get the battery checked whether it needs to be replaced.

You might also check the bottom of your system for a battery icon imprinted in the plastic. If it exists, there may be a pinhole in which you can reset the battery with a paper clip. Jack E/NJ

This was the first thing I did! but It doesn't work. To reset I opened, took out the cable battery, that works.

If the re-set pack still shows empty on the monitor without the charger being plugged in, the machine should automatically be shutting down to protect the pack. Since it doesn't, I'd guess either the monitor app has somehow been corrupted or the pack's chip has gone haywire. For ~$27 with free shipping on ebay or amazon, you might consider checking the latter possibility with a replacement pack. Jack E/NJ
