Acer Chromebook C720 won't power on

I replaced the battery and cannot get my chromebook to power on.... i have  two blue lights...have tried refresh and power and that does not work....purchased a new adapter too..any thoughts or suggestions or is this a dead horse??

    Unplug the charger.

     

    If there is one blue solid light on, the Chromebook is on and running.

     

    If the screen isn't illuminated, press and hold Brightness up key, (5th from the left, big Sun).  (Don't laugh, I use it so seldom that I forget that it's there).

     

    If that doesn't work, the backlight may not be working or the LCD screen in front of the backlight may not be working. They are one assembly.  If not in warranty, it is  simple but expensive to replace.

     

    It's also possible for the Chromebook to be "locked  up" with a software bug preventing it tuening on the screen. 

     

    You can force a shutdown without seeing the screen.  Simultaneously, depress and hold down the refresh key (4th from the left, curved arrow)  and power buttons for at least 8 seconds.  The one blue light should turn off.
