Aspire F15 F5-573G-7443 Hard disk does not show up after every start up

1. Brought my Aspire F15 recently and found out that the 1TB hard disk did not show up in "This PC" folder. (fig 1)

2. Went to assign a drive or path to it. (fig 2)

3. It solve the issue temporally. (fig 3)

4. The problem is after every start up, the hard disk disappear again everytime. Would like to seek help for this problem.

(C' drive is 128gb SSD)

Hi,

If you have migrated your OS from 1TB drive to SSD, you need to get rid of the OS in the 1TB drive.

You could also try unistalling IDE ATA/ATPI Controllers driver in Device Manager, reboot and let Windows install the driver.

check you BIOS version:

windows logo key + r

type

msinfo32

look at BIOS DATE/Version

if below 1.25, please update it

then check if your issue is solved after re-assigning the drive letter.

if nor, please contact Acer support service.
