B286HK searches for input signal every time I switch my KVM

I have a B286HK monitor, connected to two computers via a 2-input DVI-D KVM. Every time I switch the KVM, the brief loss of signal causes the monitor to cycle through all the inputs (SLOWLY!) until it circles back around to HDMI to find the signal again.

My previous HP monitor did not do this; the signal dropped out for about a second, resynced, and was done.

How do I disable input cycling on this monitor? I see complaints from others on this issue.

    Please, PLEASE fix this, Acer!

I was using a DVI KVM before, and the input searching would happen occasionally when switching inputs. Now that I've switched to DisplayPort, it happens EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. And it is slow as molasses.

Ugh, I'm ready to pitch these things into the trash. (I have two of them, and they both do it.)
