I want to do this after sending mine in for some WiFi issues, but I want to know if this will void the warranty just in case the fix does not work.

no warranty voided installing another OS.

just remember to create an USB factory recovery media, so you can restore your laptop to factory OS.

So if I send it in for repair, do I have to reinstall Windows beforehand? Or will they do it for me? Also, to make recovery media, do I just the need the Windows Recovery Media Tool from Microsoft and the license key?

honestly i would re-install windows before sending to warranty repair.

if you still have windows 10 factory installation, you can create the recovery media using Acer care center, you will need an 8 or 16GB USB flash drive available.
