No sound from HDMI connection, Cannot Install AMD Drivers

I have just gotten my new hard drive installed in my laptop and everything was working fine; games, video, internet, small little programs.

My laptop is always plugged into my TV via HDMI. I typically use a headset to listen but recently I wanted to go and use Netflix without the headset and use the sound from the TV... until I relaised the TV doesn't come up in Audio Devices like it used to before I got my new hard drive.

I went on the AMD site and went to install the drivers for my video card since I couldn't find the control panel on my computer. I figured the updates and control panel were missing. While installing them the computer froze, so I tried a few more times and got the same result. I then tried to just simply reinstall the same driver and my computer wouldn't boot up so I had to refresh install windows 10.

I've never expereienced this before I was wondering if anyone could help me.

Thank you.

as far as i know HDMI is managed by Intel VGA not AMD.

try to right click the intel display driver from Device manager, choose to uninstall and tick to uninstall software too.

reboot and let windows download and re-install drivers.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
