I upgraded my laptop from 2GB of RAM to 8GB.  As it booted up, it ran some upgrades.  I was using it and all seemed to be going well.  I even checked if the 8GB registered, which it did.  I decided to close the laptop and finish putting the screws into the back.  When I opened up the laptop, the screen was black.  Now, nothing I do will wake it up.  I hold the power button and the blue light turns off.  I then hold the power button again and the blue light turns on.  The charger light also works.  The fan won't turn on and the screen is continually black, so this seems like a hardware problem to me, but I am no expert.

I did open the back again and swap out the memory to the original 2GB and still have the same problem.  Help!

No, I don't know how to do that since it won't start up. When I hit the power button, the fan does not turn on and the screen is black. It's dead.
