Thank you, Acer. or more specifically the person in your organization that decided to have the original operating system on a hidden section of the hard drive.

i have struggled with many, many problems and frustrations ever since my ASPIRE one 'automatically' upgraded to Windows 10. things went wrong, hardware stopped working, delays delays delays, frustrations, confusion and never a solution or a response from Microsoft other than "...can you take a screen shot".

after a year and a half of debating if i should be moving to Apple (yuk!) or Linix (maybe i still will) i found out about the magic that is: FACTORY RESET!

yes, i have returned to a no-longer-supported operating system (Windows 7) but it works! even the old hardware (a built-in SD drive) rendered worthless by win 10 and not used for almost 2 years, not to mention booting up takes less than a minute compared to 15 minutes! by win 10 along with 15 minutes! to shut down (i'll explain that one to anyone that wants to hear), the generating of 25+ user accounts (i'll explain that one too!) and bonus, i'm back to decent graphics rather than the simplistic line drawings required for display on all win 10 platforms on a machine that does what i want to do ... quickly an easily!

thank you Acer, and thank you person who let my machine work again!

if this was an inappropriate place to say 'thank you', i'm sorry, please delete (but tell me where to go to properly show Acer how pleased i am!)

MS still supports Win7. Glad to hear your upgrade back to it worked out as it should! 8^) Jack E/NJ
