ACER Swift 3 SF314-51 WHEA-Logger flood every second

I have problem with Acer Swift 3 SF314-51 and WHEA-Logger warnings flood every second.

Lenovo has fixed this problem with new BIOS update, ACER please do the same for us.

I have the exact same situation on an F5-573-55LV. I've upgraded every possible driver and the BIOS is now v. 1.23. I know that Lenovo fixed this with a BIOS upgrade. The upgrade to 1.23 did nothing, nor did reinstalling Win 10. My current version is 14393.rs1_release_inmarket_170303-1614.

The errors are coming from the Intel PCI root ports #11 (9D1A) and #12 (9D1B).

The system is the same as when it was purchased - #11 has a Qualcomm QCA9377 wifi and #12 has the Realtek RTS5287 Card Reader and the Realtek RTL8168/8111 Gigabit Ethernet adapter.

If I disable the three devices then the WHEA Event ID errors stop. In the last 24 hours I've had about 2500 of them.

I've tried older drivers, updated drivers, ACER drivers, and various combinations. Nothing has solved the problem.

I am having the same problem with an Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM and I have the same Atheros QCA9377. My unit is brand new and I am thinking of returning it. Anyone learn anything new since the last posts? This has been occurring since I took the notebook out of the box.

However there is no such update for the Swift 3. Is there any chance of a BIOS update to fix this please?

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem. My laptop is one week old, just barely used. Model is SF314-51, Swift 3.

Today my Windows 10 crashed to error code "bad_pool_header". I did a full RAM test (windows mem check). Nothing was found.

Then I started to look at event logs and discovered that same warning happening every second.

"A corrected hardware error has occurred.
Component: PCI Express Root Port"

I'm using AC WLAN, but I have N-network also. I does not matter wheter I use N-WLAN or AC-WLAN, Event log is flooded either way.

Please tell us more. Last i know is that latest BIOS 1.08 doesnt fix the problem and i also have latest intel chipset drivers and problem is still here.

The problem went away a few months ago, so I don't know what the versions were then. My current BIOS is v1.25 dated 3/3/17. My current Windows 10 version is an Insider Edition, but I'd think the current general release version would be fine since this stopped a few months ago for me. The one I have now is 15063-rs2 release 170317-1834. Below is a list of everything else I have right now:

You have another model of the laptop or the Acer within the same model has different configurations.
In my case, the latest version of BIOS is 1.0.8.
I have Wifi adapter Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174 you Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377

Update to my issue: WHEA logger still floods Windows Systems log. There are days that this does not happen. But almost every day it does. Always the same message "A corrected hardware error has occurred. Component: PCI Express Root Port".

I'd like to see someone from Acer comment this issue.

My system status:

- Newest BIOS version is installed (1.08)

- All Windows updates are installed

- All the other Acer drivers are newest version

- No other devices connected to USB ports, no SD cards connected

When I stop using put this machine I put it to hibernate or sleep. I wonder if this error occurs when computer is resuming from hibernate or sleep? Has anyone tested if this error happens when resuming from sleep, or if it happens after normal reboot also.
