Problem with QR code URL links

With my Acer Aspire Switch 10E I have a strange problem with opening QR code links.

It all seems to work fine with ordinary www-links, but there is a problem with links to our local webserver. For example, I succesfully scan QR code, it reads it OK as "http://192.168.0.7", but fails to open the destination in browser. The funny thins is that if I copy and paste the URL to browser, it opens just fine.

Also, the exact same QR codes work with an android tablet, so I thought this might be software-dependant, so on the Switch 10e I have tried with two QR readers (Scan and QR Scanner plus) and with different browsers set as the system default browser (edge, firefox, chrome). None of these combinations seem to work.

EDIT: I opened Windows 10 command line, and typed "start http://192.168.0.7" - and it succesfully opens the default web browser and the intended page at our office web server. I also tried with a third qr-code scanner application, and again the same - it correcly reads the URL but fails to launch the browser. This is beyond me =)

EDIT2: I installed qr-code extension to Chrome. Using it to scan the codes works just fine, I can open the scanned URL with no problem.

So, any ideas? It reads the URL correctly, the URL works if manually copypasted to browser, but it is just that both QR-code readers fail to launch the browser with that URL. While "ordinary" URLs with "www" in the address work just fine.

Is there some sort of security or permission thing I could try to check? Or any other ideas? Any suggestions are welcome, as at this point I've ran out of ideas.
