The laptop had a broken motherboard which was replaced by Acer, it came back factory default with a windows 8 image.

Unfortunately and strangely enough, I could not power it off.

So I thought it could be fixed by installing a clean windows 10 image, did a install with a clean image of Windows 10, now it still won't power off.

I've tried the following things without any success:

- Power options (disable hybernate options (powercfg -h off), shutdown with the power-on button, etc)

- Driver rollback (intel Management Engine Interface) versions 9.5.xx.xx and 10.0.0.1126.

- Check for a bios update (current version 1.14) version available for download from Acer drivers; 1.11.

The only way to shut it down is by pressing the power-on button for more than 5 seconds.

Which (in my opinion) is not a fix.

Are there any other fixes available?

Well, I think the only solution you can is take the laptop, go to where you bought it and tell to him to travel the laptop to Acer factory, and tell them the problem.
