Iconia Tab 8 memory use?

At "idle", System Dr shows my tablet is using 516mb of 885mb of memory. That really seems very high for sitting doing nothing, with no open apps. In use, dumb maching always seems to hang. Very annoying.

 

Any ideas? Thanks!

    it's normal, since ram is used by system application/services that start with the OS.

     

    you can try to disable some from settings/Apps

     

    tap on the application you want to disable and then tap on disable.

     

    you can also uninstall them if not needed and if the option is available.

    I did disable a bunch of apps, but still, it still uses a bunch of memory, and it didn't seem to make any difference. Seems really odd. A PC at idle does not use that much memory. 

     

    I get a lot of "hangups" when using apps and have to close them. It's very annoying.

     

    Guess I'll I'll go in and drop a bunch more and see what happens.
