Several things jump at me about this laptop:

1) A NO BUTTON MOUSEPAD. What person thought this was a good idea? It is an even worse idea than APPLE's 1 button mouse for macs.

2) Completely INTERNAL battery? Is ACER going to give FREE LABOUR to replace batteries when the cells start dying in the included battery? I will NOT pay for a new battery if I also have to pay labour to replace it.

3) LYING to us during boot by omitting information with a graphic boot. CANNOT trust a company that lies to me.

4) Getting UPDATES before ANY SECURITY is running? leads to issue 5

5) Why are you ramming windows down people's throats? 40 year+ track record of UNSTABLE + INSECURE operating systems and you insist it should be used? The ONLY reason to ship with windows is to screw over the consumer.

6) EUFI bios. Extremely Useless, For Idiots. This bios setup is designed to require the only operating system that is guaranteed to be insecure and unstable. The insecure and unstable equals UNRELIABLE.

I will never buy another computer that has "bundled/preloaded software" or has the eufi bios.

if the choice is never being online again vs the INSULT to my intelligence of bundled malware with a bios designed to promote software developers than I'll go offline.

Sorry you do not seem to like it.  I like mine just fine, low cost with decent performance.  While I enjoy worthy critique of a product your issues are almost nonsensical. The touchpad I agree, prefer buttons but I normally use a external mouse when possible and it does work fine when I do use it. The battery is not a great design but very obvious from start if you did any research before your purchase it was not meant to be swapped out on the fly however it is easy enough to open the back to get at it if need comes.  Legacy mode in bios is a option for non uefi uses. Windows 10 is what they designed and made it with, most current laptops are that or Mac OS, if you choose to install other you can it is just not supported and I know of very few manufactures if any that do.  In the end most products are made to market to the most people, speciality products cost signifcantly more to create, sell and support and cost you more. It appears to me you need to research what your looking for in your hardware better instead of complaining about your purchase not meeting those needs/requirements.
