the fan on my s7 191 6640 is very loud a few times a day about 30 mins sessions. i updated the bios but the noise is worse. did i do something bad? what shall i do about this loud noise?

    You released laptop with fans running at 10K rpm producing 50db noise.

     

    When on batteries, the firmware will reduce the fan rpms even if not in power save mode. So, it's not that you really needed to have the fans running this high on AC - obviously the laptop won't overheat.

    Would be nice if you just release the BIOS update which runs fans the same speed on AC as it runs them on battery.

     

    Later on, after doing some tests, you could release BIOS update which allows for slighlty higher temperatures in exchange to slower fans rotation
