what's wrong with Acer support! i tried to contact them with no help, baddest support ever! SHAME!

    I have several complaints. A a suma **bleep** laude graduate in Organizational Management, I have never experienced such horrible customer service in my 43 years of existence.
    First, my family and I ordered an Acer laptop computer in August of 2011. One year and six months after using the product, the mother board and the hard drive crashed at the same time. Because you only have a 1 year standard warranty, when I contacted technical support and put in the SNID number the automated system directed me to pay for tech support and hung up on me. At no time was I allowed to talk to a live person except to call the number provided. At that number, they informed me that they are contracted and do not directly work for Acer.
    Secondly, I had to find your emails and a customer service number at this website- http://consumerist.com/2010/02/04/reach-acer-executive-customer-service/
    No where on the Acer's website is there a number to customer service.
    Finally, when I was able to get through to a "live" person at Acer, I was told that if I had contacted the company properly they might have been able to help me with my issue. However, since it is out of warranty, they were unwilling to assist me with the $250.00 it cost to repair the laptop, nor were they willing to make ANY concessions at all, except that it is unfortunate, that the products are made to last and it shouldn't have happened.
    As I knew I was getting nowhere, the conversation was pointless and the person at the other end of the phone could care less!

    I would like you to know that we will be telling everyone we know about this horrible experience and hope to inspire MANY others to steer clear from the Acer products!
