How do I remove the base from my p235h monitor?

Just what the title says. I can get the flat bottom part off but the arm remains attached and I'd rather not take a hammer to it.

1.  You must remove the two hinge covers, immediately to the left and right of the arm. 

There is a tab you can use a flat screwdriver to help gently release the covers.  Don't pry too hard or you will bend the plastic.

 

2. Once the hinge covers are removed the neck bracket can be seen and the screws can be removed with a Phillips screwdriver.
