All you need is Windows Defender. If you think Defender might have missed a virus or malware infection, I recommend downloading and installing the standalone McAfee Stinger scanner freeware to double check on Windows Defender. https://www.mcafee.com/enterprise/en-us/downloads/free-tools/stinger.html You really don't need a non-Microsoft antivirus running in the background. @sosaggab000 I believe that default Windows Defender is a good option if you have updated windows version, I have never use any antivirus since 2019, when I move on to Windows 10.
Yes, by far Windows Defender is the lightest load on the OS. The various commercial antivirus packages have extra bells and whistles, but not a lot that's really needed.
