Two questions about my Acer Iconia One 10

1. Is it possible to remove the sounds at startup? This includes dialing in the PIN, and the startup sound.

2. Is there any way to directly write to the external SD card? I just got a 128 GB card, and tried to create a Download directory using ES File Explorer Pro. I understand that this limitation might be on a per app basis, as in certain apps might be able to write directly, and others may not work.

My model is a B3-A30, A6003. It was built in September, 2016. It runs on Marshmallow 6.0.1. I haven't applied any updates yet, as I just got the tablet a few days ago.

Thanks for any advice.

Never mind... figured out two workarounds.

    1. I use a small 3.5mm adapter, or a pair of headphones/earbuds inserted to silence the speakers during bootup. Inconvenient, but OK.

    2. Found the setting to enable it in ES File Explorer. System prompted me to enable, and now have no issues writing to external SD.

EDIT: forgot to mention the Secure Startup option. That at least reduces the annoyance somewhat by not having to enter the PIN twice.
