My touchpad driver will not install. I have uninstalled the driver and then tried intalling the synaptics touch driver from both Synaptics site and Acer's. Once I have attempted the install and restarted my laptop it still says it is using a generic Microsoft PS/2 driver. Clicking on the mouse option in control panel yields the following error message
"Unable to connect to the Synaptics Pointing Device Driver"
I have attempted installing the Synaptics driver version v188.8.131.52 from the synaptics website, and version 184.108.40.206 from Acer's website.
(EDIT) I am in windows 10 Education build 14393
