Aspire R15 R5-571TG-78G8 back cover removal
Hi everyone.
I have an Aspire R15 R5-571TG-78G8.
It comes with a horribly slow 5400 RPM Hard drive and I want to replace it.
First question is how do you remove the back cover from this machine? I see there are 12 screws, but is there a trick to removing the back once the screws are removed?
Also, does this device have an M.2 slot? If not, does it support SSD if I replace the platter drive?

Hi,
Use an old credit card or something similar to release the tabs, try working slowly to avoid breaking any tabs.

Or
like the guy does here, I don't like it but if you can manage without breaking any tabs, it's OK.

EDIT: Yes, it has SATA M.2 SSD slot.

Thank you for the information, it worked perfectly.
When I took the back off, I noticed there was no screw included to secure the m.2 drive into the hole. Is it secured by one of the case screws or am I going to have to try and find a screw?
Also, will this m.2 drive work in this device?

Hi,
Yes that Samsung drive will work, you have to find the screw for it, I think you can get it in a hardware store or a local PC repair shop.
