Acer one 10 wont go passed the password entry all i get is a black screen

My Acer one 10 wont go passed the password entry all i get is a black screen does anyone know how i can fix this.

    Is this a Windows password entry? What exactly happens when you power on and want to log in? Is the system not booting? Any fan noise or hard drive noise? Were there any changes to the system just before this started happening? Please provide details so the Community can better assist you.

    Hi the system works as normal until i have put my windows password in, after the pasword it says on a blue screen 'welcome' and then says preparing windows. it continues to say this for about an hour and then goes to a black screen. the mouse cursor is usable and visable on the black screen. it does not change from this until the battery runs out. I have tried to reboot using f12 when the laptop is starting up but it always says there was an error whilst rebooting. it is almost as though windows is completely uninstalled.

    At this point we would recommend restoring the system to factory configurations. This will erase any Windows passwords and bring it back to where it was, out of the box. Steps on how to do this are posted here:
