Hi, is the P186H monitor compatible with Windows 10?  The Acer website does not have a driver for this monitor for Window 10, is there one even out there?  I have a Dell Inspiron 5758 and it does not recognize this monitor when plugged in via VGA>HDMI adapter connection.

Thanks!

it only depends on the HDMI/VGAadapter if the monitor is recognised or not, not the monitor itself, since the adapter works as digital to analog converter.

So the problem may be with the adapter being potentially faulty.  I guess that could be it, when I disconnect the VGA cable from HDMI the monitor says "Cable Not Connected" and when I plug it back into the HDMI adapter (which is connected to the laptop) the monitor says "No Signal" for about 5 seconds the goes to sleep mode.

It's a sime adatper or it has a signal converter?
    Can you post the model?

I think the model number is NS-PG95503 and should be just a straight forward Insignia HDMI>VGA adapter.

the adapter is ok, have you tried to connect the microUSB cable to the adapter for the additional voltage power?
