Questions about gn246hl - hz, tilting

Hi, just got a gn246hl. A few questions:

When I set the computer to 144 Hz the monitor - when checking the settings on it - will show the "DVI input" signal as either 143 hz OR 145 hz, but not 144 hz. But the "video output" is, in both cases, shown to be 144 hz.

What makes is even stranger is that the previous hz-setting on the computer will decide if the "DVI input" is 143 hz or 145 hz. If I go from 60 hz to 144 hz the monitor says the input signal is 143 hz. But if I go from 120 to 144 the monitor will say the input signal is 145 hz.

I haven't got the slighest idea if this is a problem, but I do find it a bit strange. Any explanation?

Also: the monitor is supposed to be able to be tilted. But it seems really stiff, and I've seen other people complain about this as well. Should I loosen the screws in the stand to make it able to tilt?

And a really minor question: the little bit of plastic that came with the monitor: is that a cable holder, and where is it supposed to fit?

It can be hard to tilt it back, use some force but not enough to break it. You should not have to loosen any screws to get it tilted back. For the refresh rate, here is a link that has info on it, that you might find helpful:

The small plastic piece should be a cable holder that is not necessary to use unless you want to use it.
