Acer switch alpha 12 battery not charging

I have owned my Switch Alpha 12 for two week.

 

In week one, everything appeared to work fine.

 

Now in week 2, the battery will not charge more than 33% no matter how long I leave the device plugged in.

 

Why?  What's wrong?  What do I have to do to fix it?  Is this a common problem?

 

I really like the device - I was looking for a while for a more price competitive version of the MS Surface, and this device delivers.  But battery problems are a deal-breaker.

EDIT:  I plugged in my tablet today, and it charged to 99%.  I have no idea why today.  Why now.  What was different?  I will continue to experiment with the device and report back.

There were issues in Windows 10 where battery levels would get corrupted and show wrong numbers. Check and make sure all your updates have been installed to verify you have the fix.
