I cant do and alt\f10 factory reset. I get error code:0xc000000f

I am trying to factory reset my pc so that I can downgrade my os back to windows 7 from windows 10. But when I do the Alt\F10 combo it tells me "your device needs to be repaired error code:0xc000000f". My 30 day os downgrade has already expired. I am open to any suggestions on how to get windows 7 back.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but here's what I would do.

 

1. Get out my Acer recovery discs.  If you forgot to make Acer recovery discs, you can order them from Acer.

2.  Backup all my important personal files to an external HDD.

3.  Create Windows 10 USB flash drive installation media with Microsoft's media creation tool.

4. Go in to BIOS setting and enable the F12 boot menu

 

5. Boot the Windows 10 installation media

 

6.  When you see the screen below, press Shift F10 on your keyboard to get a command prompt.

 

 

7. Wipe your drive with diskpart clean.  Be careful.  Make sure you select the correct disk.

8.  Turn off your computer by pressing and holding the power button.  Remove Windows 10 USB media.   Insert Acer Recovery media to re-install windows 7 on your clean HDD.

That is the easy way to do it, but I wasnt given a disk and they cose $45. Any free way to do it?

I think you were supposed to create your own recovery discs.  Definitely you would have wanted to create recovery discs before doing something major like upgrading the operating system.  When I first bought my Acer computer, I read my computer manual, it told me to make sure I created recovery media right away...just in case.

My Acer Computer only came with a setup guide. I also dont have acer recovery on my pc, and I cant find a download for it???

If you are able to reset your computer to factory condition, yes, the Acer recovery will be re-installed.
