Chrome Remote Desktop

I'd like to use Chrome Remote desktop to control my Switch Alpha 12 from my desktop PC.  I can't use Windows Remote Desktop since I have Windows 10 home edition on both computers.

Here's my problem.  I can control the desktop PC from the Alpha 12 with no problems.  However, when I try to control the Alpha 12 from the desktop PC, windows 10 mail and calendar freeze and will not work (if keyboard cover is closed).  I can successfully use Outlook 2016, but I prefer the unified inbox and simplicity of Win 10 mail.

This is a strange problem and I am assuming it is the fault of some driver in the Switch Alpha 12.  Again, it occurs only if the keyboard cover is closed!  I would like to use my desktop PC for control since it has a full size keyboard and monitor and mouse; and the speed of the remote connection is adequate.  However, I want to keep the cover closed on the Alpha to save energy and avoid display burn-in.  My power settings seem reasonable.  When plugged in, the unit is set to do nothing. The screen turns off, but no sleep or hybernation.

Other native Win 10 programs (news, photos, people, edge browser) seem to be similarly affected although I haven't tested all of them.  I mostly care about email and calendar.  All programs, other than win 10 native apps seem to work fine.  Can anyone help?

Thanks,
