Wifi won't reconnect on Wake (Switch 10E Broadcom adapter)

Some weeks ago the Switch 10E started waking from sleep with Wifi off - I would have to manually open Notifications and select the Wifi button. Not always though. I updated the BIOS and Wifi driver and a new bluetooth earphones now work which is great. But the Wifi problem continues.

Before you post a response for dummies, I've already scanned several other forums and tried everything that sounded reasonable (one "solution" actually disabled the Wifi -quickly fixed with the Networking troubleshooter)

I finally found the setting for keeping the Wifi on even during sleep -

Search for Power & Sleep settings > under WiFi, CHECK When plugged in, stay connected

Are you saying that after you found the Power and Sleep settings and put the check in the box for When plugged in, stay connected, it still disconnects after it wakes up? If so and this started a few weeks ago, the best way to determine if this is software or hardware is to back up your data and restore it to factory configurations. Test the wifi after sleep and see if it happens again. Do this before installing any third party apps. If it works, then perhaps something was installed just before this started happening, but at that point you would know the hardware is working and there may be something running in the background that is causing this to happen. Perhaps other users here have suggestions to offer.
