Clean install of Windows 10 - nothing but problems with sleep/hibernate

I've got the Aspire V5-571 running Windows 10 on a clean install 1TB SSD. I know this OS is not officially supported on this laptop, but I previously ran Windows 10 on this laptop perfectly fine after updating Windows 8/8.1 to Windows 10 in March on my old hard disk drive. Just to clarify, I never had any issues with sleep (or anything else) when I had WIndows 10 before.

But now I am having no end of problems with sleep. It's totally random too, an intermittent problem - sometimes my laptop will wake instantly to the lock screen after being asleep, sometimes it will just sit at a blank screen and nothing happens. This is also the case when resuming from hibernate mode - it will sometimes wake perfectly fine, but other times after the Windows/Acer boot logo, it just does nothing on a blank screen and the only option is to turn it off.

I am trying to eliminate certain things and one thing I've read a lot about is potential keyboard drivers causing issues with sleep and power management. And I notice in device manager under Keyboards, I have listed a "Standard PS/2 keyboard"

I can't fully remember what my previous Windows 10 installation said in Device Manager for the keyboard, but I am pretty sure it used to be a HID Keyboard Device, not a PS/2 keyboard. Can anybody else with this laptop, running either Windows 8 or Windows 10, please look in their Device Manager and tell me what the keyboard entry is/should be? Because I would be surprised if it was PS/2 as I thought all devices like that ran through the USB bus now (HID)? I was wondering if this could be causing any problems with my power management issues. Long shot I know, but like I said, I am trying to play a game of elimination.

Anybody else having these similar sort of problems after doing a clean install of Windows 10? Like I said, it ran perfectly fine without a problem on my previous Hard Disk Drive - I only got an SSD to speed things up a lot, but I seem to have ran into all sorts of problems doing a clean install.

Thanks for any feedback Smiley Happy
