I want to install Linux (Ubuntu) and dual-boot my laptop. But I want to know, if somehow I mess up my Win10 can I reinstall the OS from recovery media created from Media Creation Tool? Will the new installation read my Win10 license from the BIOS? Will I be in any kind of trouble if I dual-boot my device?

Thanks

Windows will activate with the embedded key.

And yes you can install Linux, but always install first windows and then Linux. Grub is aware about the existence of windows (if installed) and will give you option to choose which OS to boot. But if you install first Linux and then windows, windows will not be aware that you have Linux, will delete grub, and you will not have how to boot Linux in that case.
