What's the best way to add an M.2 SSD to aspire E575-33BM and transfer operating system and programs from original HDD onto new M.2 SSD ? I want to use HDD for music, ect.. Thanks
You need an external USB enclosure or an adapter cable like one in the link, a spare HDD and Macrium reflect Free.
First backup your current HDD to an external HDD( any old HDD) with Macrium Reflect.
Create a recovery disk DVD/USB using Other Tasks( Macrium Reflect).
Remove your current HDD.
Go to BIOS settings and change the boot order to make the DVD/USB as the first boot.
Install the M.2 SSD, insert the USB/DVD (recovery disk) to start Macrium Reflect, connect the backup HDD and recover the image from it on to M.2 SSD.
Check your recovered image in M.2 SSD, then you can insert your current HDD and use it for Music etc.
If you have any questions, please post here.
Does anyone know what motherboard this specific model has? I'm curious as to the M.2 specifications and which screw I'll need.
