Lost and Stolen Acer Tablet - Aside from googledevices, is there a way to track

OBVIOUSLY the first thing we do is check out our options when something is lost/stolen, but if someone "wipes the tablet' and restores to factory settings, there still should be a way, via it being registered with acer, and the fact I have my box and all paperwork, that we can track it.

I have a police file number, and it's only been missing for two days, so if someone has a more detailed and helpful way of dealing with this (outside of obvious), please do tell.

I'm quite sure I'm not the only one who has struggled with this.

And if they wiped it, then google devices probably won't work because my understanding is that it is searchable via the users actually ON the tablet, and not the tablet in and of itself??

ie; If they wiped it, then it's no longer 'my' tablet if they turn around and put all their google user info on it?!

Again, this is something I would love clarified.

Peace out!
Thank you!

No other way to track it, even from Acer.

maybe police can do if they are able to track the MAC address (if you have writte somewhere) if the thief will ever connect to a public wifi but, honestly, they will never do it for a single tablet.

if your tablet had android 5.x and up, it will not be able to sign up with another user, since (for security reason) when a device is wiped, it needs the original account username and password to be logged to unlock and have access for a new user.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
