Aspire E15 (E5-573T-59RC). SSD installation in empty optical drive slot.

So besides getting a SSD and a caddy then removing the dummy slot and installing the caddy set up is there anything else that would need to be done for the machine to recognize the new drive?

Also, my goal in this would be for the SSD to simply run the Win 10 OS and the original HD would manage all other programs. Would that make sense as a way to significantly speed up other things like games?
