Ok I may have it worked out....You tell me if this is feasible.

I am building these out by adding SSD and Videocard upgrade. I have the original HD sitting in unplugged and the SSD active. Just for 'fun' I booted the HD and did a couple clean power cycles. Went back to SSD and now it is one click booting. Is there some static memory condition on the MB regarding hard drive state? Did it 'clear' after it 'found' something on the HD?????

Nevermind it was a fluke... booted good a few times. Now back to multiple clicks. Could not replicate test.

Ok, I may have it for real now... In the BIOS on POWER tab. There is a DEEP POWER OFF MODE. It was enabled, I disabled it (and everything else on that tab just for good measure). Now It boots first click. I will have to do an overnight test to see if it alleviates the cold boot issue completly. Fingers Crossed...

Deep power off, normally will shutdown all the hardware, so you can't wake up via LAN or other events.

maybe it has some kind of bad habit on windows 7.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
