Acer SW5-012 won't boot after Windows 8.1 updates

Acer aspire switch 10.1 touchscreen laptop (Acer sw5-012) WINDOWS 8.1, purchased from a Rent-A-Center I have factory restored this thing at least 4 times... The problem is ...after Windows 8.1 does over 230+ updates the computer attempt to restart and it just FREEZES on the Acer splash screen forever and after letting it sit for over 8 hours it never boots to windows.

 

This has happened to me 4 times already, the only way I can get back to windos is to do a factory restore. ALSO why won't the bios recognize external dvd drive or read usb flash drives?

 

Also there are EXTREMELY LIMITED ACCESS to bios options! Is it possible this was done by the I.T. guys at Rent-A-Center?

It’s unlikely Rent A Center would have made any changes to the BIOS. If you have restored the Switch back to factory configurations and did not install any third party software before running Windows Updates and the updates will not install, at this point we would recommend service.
