Aspire x3400 Internet and Networking issue

I bought 5 aspire x 3400 computers for the office 3 years ago.  I've only used 4 until recently and I have had no issues.  The last one will not connect to the internet or the  homegroup with the cat 5  internet cable.  It keeps saying unidentified public network.  Even if I change it to a Homegroup it still will not recognize it.  If I use a wireless connection it works occasionally for a few days, then it says it cannot connect.  I reinstalled windows from the hard drive but that did not solve the issue.  Any suggestions.  I was going to re install using the Acer rescue disk next.

The monitor or computer also freezes randomly (same computer as above that will not connect to internet or network).  The other 4 computers are fine.

Will it connect to a different network using the LAN port? Are you using a customer load of Windows, or is it the factory load? I would recommend reloading with Acer recovery disks, and seeing if that resolves the issue. If it does not, you may need to contact Acer Service in your region.

It is a factory version of windows.  The Lan port will not recognize any network.  It keeps saying unidentified network and makes it a Public Network that I cant access.   A couple years ago ACer sent me 2 recovery disc a system disc and 2 LAnguage disks.  I Used  the acer recovery disk (disc one only) and it seemed to make the WIFI work ok, but the Lan port still does not work... and the computer still freezes.  I really dont know how to use or what the 2nd recovery disc is for as the computer completely restored from the 1st recovery disc.
