XB281

Just bought the XB281 HK 4K monitor and I'm having problems with dark scenes in videos. I will start by saying at this point it is not connected to a computer by a display port cable but to my Xbox one via an HDMI cable. I'm putting a high spec PC together in the next couple of weeks which I'll be using this for.

In dark areas or scenes of videos, tv shows and movies, the image looks very pixelated and low resolution. What could be causing this, and how could I potentially fix it? Two images are provided below. The same thing occurs on different applications, so it isnt an issue with the source of the video. 14619905_1257402750977530_1354757578_n.jpg14642697_1257402850977520_630968779_n.jpg

Just for clarification, this monitor is plugged into your xbox, via HDMI? Well, in that case, you can't update the driver. Most monitors have display settings on them that let you change the Brightness, contrast, resolutoin, colour depth, etc. tinker with those settings until something works for you.

Yes its plugged into my Xbox via HDMI.

I've fiddled with the settings a little to no effect, though I'm not really knowledgeable enough to say this means its not a problem with the settings.

Could it be a hardware issue?

The screen may not be completely compatible with your XBOX, but its most likely not a hardware issue. if it was a hardware issue, the screen probably wouldn't even turn on. But, i can't say it isnt for sure though.
