I have a brand new K272HL monitor. I need to access the OSD to choose the HDMI input but none of the buttons on the lower right make the OSD appear.

are you sure that your model supports HDMI?

i see only VGA and DVI connections; if you are using HDMI->DVI adapter, be sure that's working.

normally your monitor will switch automatically to the right input when it finds a signal.

There is an HDMI port on the back (next to the VGA and DVI) and the instructions manual offers HDMI as an option. Seems weird to put the port on it and not have it as an option to usse.

here reports just VGA and DVI

by the way, various websites report HDMI too...

have you tried with VGA or DVI and check if it works?

if not and you are under warranty, please contact your seller or Acer support service.

Eventually Gerry at MicroCenter figured it out.

There are 4 USB-C jacks on the Acer dock. Each one looks the same. However, ONLY ONE has a teeny tiny icon of a monitor above it. That is the only one that will connect the dock to the monitor successfully.

It does take a close examination to see the tiny icon. The icon easily gets covered by the power adaptor plug, too.
