X34 Predator. Horizontal line on screen when doing 80hz, which is max on laptop.

This is what the line/artifact looks like. It sometimes comes up at two different places on the screen.

I can only reproduce it on one perticular website, or when sizing several different terminal windows.

Note that my work laptop can't do 100hz, 80hz is the highest I can set the refresh rate to (when I think of it, on my old XB270HU, max was 100hz.) If I set the refresh rate to 60hz I see no artifact lines.

This is not a problem on my normal gaming PC, 100hz works fine.

Is this a problem with the monitor or the graphics card of the laptop?

Monitor is produced in dec 2015 FYI

EDIT: I may actually have a solution.

I think it's as simple as my work laptop, an HP EliteBook 840, with an Intel HD 4400 graphics adapter, may not support 3440x1440 @ 60+ hz. My girlfriend also has an EliteBook 840, but a newer gen graphics adapter, the 5500. Tried her laptop with the X34 monitor and it works all the way up to 100hz. Also in "Intel HD Graphics Control Panel", Supported Modes are 3440x1440 (60Hz), while on my GFs computer it's all the way up to 100hz.

So.. Problem solved! Ill just run it at 60hz when working.
