Aspire F15- Battery: how disconnect to use the laptop on constant AC power?

I just bought a laptop Aspire F15  F5-573G-74R7 .
I intend to use essentially connect to a mains power outlet.

When I insert a paperclip into the battery reset pinhole and press for four seconds, nothing change, and it seems it is recharging.
How really turn off the batteries and to be sure it does it when I'm plugged to the AC power?

Thank you, in advance.

  • You're supposed to use the reset hole with it unplugged. The reset hole is to remove static buildup from the laptop. It does not permanently disconnect the batteries. The only way to disconnect the battery is to open the laptop case and unplug the battery.

If you are going to use it plugged in all the time, just do it and don't worry about the battey.

    Dear ACE

Thanks for your quick response and suggestion.
This is a negative aspect of the Aspire F15.

A laptop (with 3 h charge) is not a tablet or a smartphone.
If I use the laptop essentially plugged to the mains (f.e. 85%), and sometimes plugged to the battery, the equipment with incorporated battery is not practical.

    Thanks again.
