In games GPU heats up to 90 C. It doesn't affect productivity though. FPS is stable but I'm still worried for the hardware safety. I heard that such temperatures can wear down GPU very quickly. Am I being paranoid or my laptop is designed just right to withstand such temperatures?

  • I believe Coretemp is the most accurate of the temp utilities. The laptops today are just fine at 90c. They will shut themselves down when they get too hot.

Keeep the air intake and exaust clean. I bought a pack of these. It covers the intake grill so vertually nothing gets inside and all I have to do is wipe it off.

If you want to increase the airflow under the laptop, raise it up an 8th or quarter inch.
