Acer predator 17: what is the easiest way to switch from linux to windows

Im planning to buy acer predator 17 G9-791 with linux pre-installed and i was wondering what is the easiest way to delete linux to install windows and with doing the fragmentation of the linux partition will i lose predator sense and other pre-installed programs?

  • I'm not really sure if I really understood what you mean.

     

    Linux has no Predator Sense, so will not loose anything if you delete Linux. All software for Windows is downloadable ...only the DVD player OEM software will not be available.

    I assume you mean you're buying a used Predator laptop that someone installed Linux on. You then want to format it, and reinstall Windows, like how the laptop came new. And in doing so you'd like to know if you will lose any programs.

    I'm not at my computer right now (same model actually), but I believe you can download a recover DVD image that will restore your laptop back to stock, as well as format and repartition the drive the way it should be. It will have PredatorSense already (will need updated after you restore) as well as all factory software.
