I have a Acer Aspire V5-573PG, it's ok when it's plugged in but if you unplug it, the battery life is unknown and it wouldn't turn on. Top right of the keyboard is hot also, any ideas on how to fix it?

    Hi,

You can try to uninstall in device manager the Microsoft acpi-compliant control method battery driver, and then restart the notebook. During restart windows will reinstall the battery driver, and if even in this case you don't have the information that could mean that there is something wrong with the battery or motherboard. If you want to be sure that is not windows related you should boot for example in a linux live USB and see if in linux you get the percentage of battery of try to use HWmonitor in windows to see if you get any information about battery.

Regarding the heat, well it's a notebook right? In the top right if I saw correctly is the CPU and I think somewhere in the middle is the dGPU (if you have one). If you put it under load, of course it will become hot.
