I have just switched my Acer Aspire on only to be met with the message "An Operating System wasnt found" Press Ctrl+Aly+Del to restart. I have done this but it is still staying the same. What has caused this and how do I fix it. Any suggestions please

    aspire model?

    which OS was installed?

check on BIOS if your HDD is listed under SATA devices or Boot devices (to enter BIOS press Del key at boot)

    I'm not an Acer employee.

I know this thread is over seven months old but.The most common culprit for this is, that the OS has deleted its self. Or that it is missing from the Hard Disk. The simplest solution is to run a complete reinstall of the OS. *Do note that you will need a new Product Key to go along with that*. Also you will need to change the boot order for this to take place. if I am right Power on your PC and when the "No Operating System Found. Please Restart your Device by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del" pops up follow the on screen instructions and then before the logo shows up press either F2 or F10 untill a Blue Screen (the BIOS) shows up. If the Spash Screen and then the Black Screen with Ctrl + Alt + Del shows back up. Restart it and try a different Key. From here you can access the boot order and (at this point you should know what year your PC was manufactured the simplest way to figure this out is by the original OS that came out of the Box. Win 8.1-10 are USB keys and Win 7 and some 8.0 computers are CD Keys. When you figure this out change the corrisponding Boot item i.e Hard Disk, USB Port, and or CD Drive to start by looking on that first. so a sample order looks like this: 1) USB Port 2)CD Drive [if applicable to your PC] 3) Hard Disk and flip these around for your correct order. At this point Press F10 to Save and Quit BIOS your PC will restart and will pop up with the same dialouge. Plug in or insert your new OS Key i.e USB or CD and press Ctrl + Alt + Del from there it should find the Preinstall Enviroment for Windows and it is down hill from there. Now if the Black Screen with press Ctrl + Alt + Del comes back change the boot order by following the steps above and repeat.
