Acer T232HL touch not working after upgrade to Win10

My T232HL was working flawlessly with Windows 8.1, including the touchscreen aspect.

I upgraded to Windows 10 (build 1511) and then to the "anniversary update" (build 1607) when it became available for my computer last week. Under both builds (1511 and 1607), the touchscreen isn't working - it is just acting like a standard, non-touch display.

I see there is an updated driver for Windows 10 64-bit (listed as "version 2"). But when I go to install or update the driver, Windows just reports that it didn't change anything because it has the latest driver (version 1). I've tried also deleting the driver and reinstalling it, and it still just installs as version 1, not the updated version 2, and thus I'm left with a non-touch display.

Anyone have any additional suggestions to try? I just don't understand why Windows won't recognize the version 2 driver... any assistance is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
