W510 Intel DPTF and graphics driver under Win 10 Anniversary update

Remembering that I had some problems with garbeled graphics within the Mail app and Edge browser on the Iconia W510 under the Win 10 default drivers I recalled this thread about how to solve that:

With the Anniversary update the some of the Edge browser's graphics is once again garbeled. This time it does not show forward, back and reload arrows as well as the full URL (on this page, I only see acer.com), and the icons for favourites, notes, share and settings. If I hover with the mouse I get the descritptive text for each button and the full URL displayed, so it is usable. The Mail app has a slightly blank inbox until you hover over it with the mouse. When Win 10 was launched it caused a lot of exclamation marks in Device Manager and the suggestion in the thread above was to roll back the drivers and use the 1176 version of the graphics driver. I now noticed that the Anniversary update does not change the graphics driver, so it runs the 1176 version, which was prefered. Device Manager shows no exclamation marks, but I still have these problems with Edge and the Mail app.

What should one do now?
