I lost excel and words apps and others after restoring setting of my acer laptop how can I recover

I restored setting of my acer laptop when it was getting too slow to respond and lost nearly all the apps including many acer apps . Now I do not have excel and word among others . Whatcan I do to restore them back. I do not have money to buy the from the internet. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened with your computer. Yes, unfortunately the restore operation consists of wiping the computer and reinstalling the Windows Operating System. This will remove any personal data/files, as well as any installed applications.

 

I see that you're most upset about your loss of Microsoft Office. I may have some solutions for you, depending on what version of Windows you have installed and the age of your computer.

 

-If your Office suite was purchased, and is version 2013 or newer (or Office 365), it should be registered to your

Microsoft Account. You can sign in to your account on office.com to redownload your software.

-If your office was an older version such as 2010, you would have to reinstall using the original disks if available.

 

Usually if you restore using the built in ACER recovery partition, the bundled ACER software would be reinstalled as well (for example abFiles, abDocs, CareCenter, etc.) This would not apply to Microsoft Office however, as it is very rare that a full version of Office is ever bundled with a computer.
