Buzzing and Hissing in Monitor

Recently I purchased an Acer B276HK. The monitor is nice but.... It's loud! Like seriously it's louder than my computer. Its a constant static noise that can only be turned off by turning off the volume via the speaker control panel. However, as soo nas I reboot or the computer comes back from a sleep state - the noise is back and its really annoying. Is it a faulty panel or what? I will probably return it because its very irritating especially on a higher priced panel.... Are there any fixes? Firmware updates?

Some monitors have an option in the menu to turn the audio off completely. You may try this option. If the buzzing sound is pretty loud, there may be a hardware problem with the speakers. You may try contacting your nearest Acer service center, to inquire about warranty service.

It's certiainly not a hardware issue - if i reset the volume to zero every time on power up it will be silent. Its just once i restart the speakers go back to buzzing and i have to repeat (turn volume on and off again). I can not find a permanent off. What can I do?

Monitor menu. Windows is on mute and I have disabled the monitor as an audio output device. I am using the displayport input if that may make a difference.

So, it's a monitor hardware issue, probably some bad grounding or missing anti-emission cover.

Contact your seller or Acer support service.
