This morning my Acer was dead, I plugged it in, let it warm up then turned it on. When I plugged it in the battery symbol popped up on screen, when I turned it on the start up started then my kid wanted my attention so I put it up and left it for four or five hours. More than enough time for it to charge completely. Tried to turn it on this afternoon and it didn't, or so I thought. Figured the cord must be dead, we go through them pretty fast, so changed cords. Still nothing an hour later, took off the cord extender thinking it's done. Finally, like five hours later, husband picks it up and the notification tone sounds off, but there is no screen. Hit the volume buttons, they make sound both low and high. No image on screen!!!! I am so beyond frusterated, this is less than a month old!

I did check on here for any trouble shooting and found a thing about the reset button, tried it, didn't work. Could there be something wrong with the board inside? Loose wire? Any help is appreciated.

i think you have 2 things to try:

    1) let the battery die and then charge it

    2) press the power button as you would power it off and then tap around the center of the screen, hoping it will take the power off comand; then turn it on again pressing the power button

if the screen remains black, probably there's an hardware issue and you need to contact Acer support service or your seller.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
